TINA BOYLE WHYTE
Tina, a native of Milwaukee knows what it is like to grow up and navigate life with minimal. I was born into a two family environment but was immediately forced to adapt to a divorced single mom. Life was not unusual as I knew but I adapted and lived life as we knew. I assisted my family in many ways even as young child. I help my mother cook, pay bills, and shop with food stamps.
I always helped through my teen years. Being very responsible, I often helped to take care of my grandmother with shopping, cooking and spending time. It was then that I really began to realize the helping spirit that I had. I distinctly remembered sharing with a friend of my sisters about a body odor. Unbeknownst to me at such a young age, I had empathy for others even when they were being made fun of by others.
Middle and high school, I served in many ways to serve other individuals. I was a Senior Buddy, school announcer, and worked as a dietary aide. I would clean my teachers house for additional funds with my mother. It was then that I realize what an impact that Mrs. Nelson had on my life. She was a teacher who always smelled good and a teacher who believed in me. It was in middle school/high school transition where I lost my best friend in life, my grandmother. Grandma played a significant role in shaping who I am today.
I attended Marquette University where I got a degree in Criminology and Law Studies. This degree allowed me to work with families in the community. I joined the military in 1988. I discovered a bigger world, coming from central city Milwaukee. It was during this time where I developed a passion for leading, developing, training and helping people reach their potential.
I had an opportunity to teach middle school which quickly led me to high school. I have taught high school and developed and coached teachers now for the last 15 years. As a teacher/leader/developer, I bring years of experience as a teacher, trainer, facilitator, presenter and coach.
